Hercesa holds its III Collaborators Convention

With the slogan “I like celebrating”, Hercesa Construcción shares the celebration of its 50th
anniversary with more than 300 regular collaborators.

The aim of the meeting was to share projects and ideas in the real estate sector, which is of interest to the whole of society and subject to global changes and tensions. The Convention was attended by all the guilds involved in the construction process, from the companies supplying the architectural façade panels, to the carpenters, glaziers, manufacturers of personal protective equipment, underfloor heating and many, many others, all with a shared vision and a common challenge, to ensure that the work is completed on budget and on time, thus fulfilling the slogan ‘I like celebrating’ in both senses of the word: to celebrate fulfilling your dreams and our birthday with you for many years to come.

To achieve this goal, Hercesa is committed to strengthening the bond with its collaborators, as a formula for mutual trust, both in good times and in times of tension. In the current real estate market, where labor is scarce, Hercesa has offered its collaborators a secure job for the next few years. The differential value that Hercesa offers them is that it is both a developer and a builder, which allows it to be more flexible in the face of increases in construction prices due to higher costs of raw materials and their transportation, thus avoiding any surprises. Meetings such as this Convention allow participants to share short- and medium-term strategies, current projects and their vision of the future, as well as innovative processes to optimize the common journey, all in an environment of affection and friendship.

The first edition of this Collaborators Convention, which was created with a sense of continuity, took place in 2019. The pandemic cut short its next celebration, which finally took place on 9 June 2022 with the slogan ’We are still together’ because Hercesa’s corporate culture is committed to talent and human beings, those who make use of communication technology to interact but who need and appreciate moments of personal exchange. The third edition will take place in March 2025, every three years, to celebrate 50 years of working together.

The host of this 3rd Collaborators Convention, Juan José Cercadillo García, President of Hercesa, gave the attendants a warm welcome, and was moved when recalling their shared journey. He highlighted his work as the integral manager of Hercesa and the importance of the continuous training offered by the Hercesa Foundation. The following company executives participated as speakers: Blas Pérez, General Manager of Hercesa Construcción, who listed and quantified the volume of all developments underway in 2025, ensuring work for the coming years; José Luis Solano, Director of Central Services of the construction company, who praised the importance, which he recognizes in everyone in the room, of working in what you are passionate about, ‘in your element’, as essential for being happy and finishing each day with the exciting thought of ‘back to it tomorrow’ and Estrella Gómez, Head of the Procurement Department at Hercesa Construcción, who assured us that thanks to being a construction company and a property developer, ‘at Hercesa, works just fly by’, something that benefits the whole construction chain.

In addition, Oriol Forner, Business and Product Director and Promoter at CaixaBank, participated as a guest expert, speaking about the dynamism of the Spanish economy causing the housing market to be in expansionary mode and indicating that work must be done to reverse the labor shortage in the sector. The grand finale was provided by Juan José Cercadillo Calvo, CEO of Hercesa, whose closing words summarized the collaborative spirit of Hercesa, who thanked all the collaborators present for their work and asked them to keep in touch so that they can continue working together for many years to come.

The event ended with the emotional presentation of ‘20 years together’ hard hats to ‘long-standing’ collaborators in recognition of their contribution to shared success.
