Guadalajara has hosted the official presentation of the fifth edition of the international fair Logistics Spain, an event already consolidated as a reference in the logistics sector at national and international level, which will be held again in the city’s Palacio Multiusos.

During the event, the representatives of the institutions that make up ‘Impulsa Guadalajara’ have highlighted the sustained growth of a fair that was born with the aim of positioning Guadalajara, Castilla-La Mancha and Spain as strategic nodes of global logistics. In this edition, the event reaches its fifth anniversary, marking a milestone in its history and reaffirming its role as a driver of innovation, talent and competitiveness.

The mayoress of Guadalajara, Ana Guarinos, highlighted the importance of the logistics sector for the economic development of the province, underlining the need to continue to make progress in transport infrastructures and to guarantee energy supply. She also stressed the key role of public-private collaboration as an essential element in consolidating territorial leadership.

In this line, the Regional Minister of Economy, Business and Employment, Patricia Franco, has highlighted the growth of the sector in the region, with nearly 50,000 jobs linked to logistics -more than 12,000 in the province- and a notable increase both in volume of goods and in turnover and salaries in the last decade.

A strategic ecosystem with business involvement

The fifth edition of Logistics Spain will be supported by a network of strategic partners including Hercesa, along with leading companies such as GXO, Iberdrola, ID Logistics, Luis Simões, Montepino and Elecnor, among others. This ecosystem will also be joined by the incorporation of the event’s first AI Partner, Happy Robot, a reflection of the growing importance of artificial intelligence in the sector.

The event will also count on the participation of numerous collaborating entities and institutions that contribute to strengthening the logistics and business fabric, consolidating an environment of cooperation that promotes the economic development of the province.

Artificial intelligence at the heart of a high-level programme

The programme of this edition will be marked by a “non-stop” approach, with artificial intelligence as the common thread. Through the Logistics Agora, experts and managers will address key issues such as intelligent intralogistics, infrastructure automation, sustainability, leadership and the challenges of logistics management in an uncertain global context.

Among the most outstanding contents is the presentation of the Port Tarragona Guadalajara-Marchamalo Terminal, a strategic infrastructure in the Corredor del Henares that will reinforce the connectivity and competitiveness of the territory.

International outreach and special activities

In its fifth edition, Logistics Spain will have Panama as its guest country, which will open up new opportunities for collaboration and investment with the American market.

The event will also include parallel activities, such as an exclusive visit to Factor5Farma on the occasion of the anniversary, and will host the presentation of the ‘Logistics with Purpose’ and ‘Innovation4Logistics’ awards, which highlight talent, innovation and social commitment within the sector.

With this new edition, Guadalajara continues to consolidate its position as one of the main logistics hubs in southern Europe, promoting a development model based on innovation, sustainability and collaboration between administrations and companies.
