Beehogar: bringing homes, nature and commitment together

To mark World Bee Day, we enjoyed a day connecting with nature and learning a little more about the apiary sponsored by Hercesa.

At Hercesa we know that building a home is more than just laying bricks. It also means committing to a sustainable future, caring for the environment, and supporting those in need. That is why all our clients, when they buy their home with us, become part of Beehogar, a project that unites people, biodiversity and solidarity.

What is Beehogar?

Beehogar is much more than a nice name (Beehome). This is our way of giving back to nature what it gives us, through the sponsorship of a reproductive apiary in Budia (Guadalajara), in collaboration with the Fundación Amigos de las Abejas (Friends of the Bees Foundation).

This apiary serves two purposes: to promote pollination, which is essential for life on the planet, and to help restore an area that has been badly affected by forest fires. In this way, we help regenerate vegetation, sustain local ecosystems and promote biodiversity. A small gesture with a big impact.

Furthermore, with Beehogar we are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating that the homes of the future are also built on values.

World Bee Day 2025: An Unforgettable Visit

On Sunday, we had the chance to visit our sponsored apiary in celebration of World Bee Day on May 20. It was a special day. We enjoyed nature, learned from expert beekeepers, and gained a deeper understanding of how important bees are to our planet.

These types of gatherings connect us not only with our surroundings but also with each other, thereby reinforcing the shared values of the Hercesa community.

Este tipo de encuentros no solo nos conectan con el entorno, sino también entre nosotros, reforzando los valores que compartimos como comunidad Hercesa.

A different celebration, a shared cause

In addition, a very special event took place: the “plantà” (installation) of three bee ninots in Pastrana, Budia, and Peñalver. A festive and eco-friendly reinterpretation of a tradition that delighted young and old alike.

On this solidarity route through La Alcarria, we paid tribute to bees, the planet’s primary pollinators, and supported areas affected by DANA. This demonstrates that sustainability and solidarity can go hand in hand.
