“Logistics Spain, innovation Hub 2025” will take place at the ‘García Fraguas’ sports complex in Marchamalo and is supported by CEOE-CEPYME Guadalajara, the Provincial Council of Guadalajara, the City Council of Guadalajara, the Regional Government of Castile-La Mancha and the CCOO and UGT unions, with the collaboration of Marchamalo City Council.
Hercesa participates in this event with the experience gained in its 50 years of business activity, in order to exchange knowledge with all those involved in the logistics sector, as it is the international reference event for the development and growth of this sector. Its business generation accounts for 7% of Spanish GDP and in Castilla-La Mancha it creates more than 42,000 jobs.
At the opening ceremony, Rafael Esteban, Mayor of Marchamalo, María Soledad García, President of CEOE-CEPYME Guadalajara, Juan Antonio Pendás, Secretary General of UGT, Javier Morales, Secretary General of CCOO, Ana Guarinos, Mayor of Guadalajara, José Luis Vega, President of the Provincial Council of Guadalajara and José Luis Martínez Guijarro, Vice-President of the Regional Government of Castile-La Mancha wished everyone a productive event and master of ceremonies Laura Nistal paraphrased the illustrious playwright Antonio Buero Vallejo to thank everyone present for attending: “Si tu cariño no me falta, emprenderé muchas cosas.” (“If I do not lack your love, I will undertake many things.)
Hercesa shows its evolution as an integral manager, both as a developer of logistic areas and as a real estate agent focused on the construction of warehouses for rent or sale on industrial and logistic areas. The company offers tailor-made solutions by identifying opportunities and serving its demanding and successful clients.
Alejandro Solano, Business, Assets and Investment Director at Hercesa, took part in the round table discussion ‘Purpose-driven logistics: spaces that connect people, logistics and the future’, together with Laura Capdevila, Director of Real Estate and Customer Experience at Prologis, Encarna Márquez, Operations Director at Pulsar Properties, David Romera, Head of Investment and Asset Management at Valfondo and Álvaro Sáinz, Business Development at Elecnor, with Leticia Martín Santiago, Director of Corporate Communication and Brand at CTT Express acting as moderator.
During the event, Alejandro Solano emphasized that the main challenge we face in urban planning and land development is to reduce administrative time, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with public administrations and the different actors involved in order to speed up the process. He pointed out that “Hercesa is committed to new land to generate first-class logistics spaces, such as Sector 15 in Paracuellos de Jarama, where we are working to put 635,713 m2 of logistics land on the market”. When asked how the way of designing and building has changed, Alejandro Solano emphasized flexibility and adaptation to the needs of the client. He also emphasized the importance of having a sustainable approach and environmental responsibility in the construction of housing developments.
All the participants in the round table explained the importance that their companies give to ESG (environmental, social and ethical) values, working for a world with more possibilities for people, improving their environments and their job opportunities.
From its stand at the “Logistics Spain, Innovation Hub 2025” exhibition, Hercesa offered its services, which range from feasibility studies and urban planning permit management to construction, certification and marketing, and presented its success stories, one of which is the development of Puerta Centro – Ciudad del Transporte, 2,148,337 m2, the largest intermodal logistics platform in the center of the Iberian Peninsula, located on the edge of the Madrid commuter belt, with Puerto Seco connected to the Port of Tarragona, which will be operational in 2025, as announced by Rafael Esteban in his presentation, with 90% of the land already sold. The main characteristic of Puerta Centro – Ciudad del Transporte is its intermodality.
Another of Hercesa’s success stories is its work as development agent for the El Ruiseñor Industrial Estate, which was completed in April 2023 and has 1,678,453 m2 of industrial, tertiary and commercial space. Important companies are already established in El Ruiseñor. These new companies are being successfully established thanks to the coordinated work of the Guadalajara City Council, the Government of Castile-La Mancha and the multidisciplinary team of professionals of Hercesa as development agent and integral manager. The U.S. multinational Cummins New Power has located in El Ruiseñor its plant for the manufacture of electrolyzers capable of producing hydrogen by decomposing water molecules through a process known as electrolysis, which does not emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which is the basis of the decarbonized economy. Montepino and Prologis are other important companies already located on the strategic land of El Ruiseñor and from April 2024 FM Logistic, International Logistics Operator.
As a new feature, Hercesa is also offering at the stand its 635,713 m2 of land under development in sector 15 Paracuellos de Jarama, whose location and communications make it an ideal site for the creation of a business park, as it is located at the junction of the M-50 and the R-2 motorways. There is also the Chiloeches industrial estate with 1,159, 100 m2 of industrial land, where Hercesa is involved in the planning, management and development. It also has logistics and tertiary plots in the Corredor del Henares area: Cabanillas del Campo, Chiloeches and Trijueque.
Another moment to share different points of view in a relaxed way was the cocktail party held by Hercesa at the Logistics Spain trade fair, in the afternoon of April 02, 2025.
So, all in all, the International Logistics Spain trade the perfect forum in which to share space and time with a booming sector that is experiencing an increase in its overall annual figures for contracting and investment.
