Javier Solano, Lifetime Achievement Award at the Castilla-La Mancha Architecture Awards

Yesterday, Javier Solano received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Castilla-La Mancha Architecture Awards ceremony, held in Guadalajara. This recognition honours a lifetime dedicated to architecture, urban planning, business and the development of our region.

A career in architecture, urban planning and business

An architect by vocation, writer and entrepreneur, Javier Solano has spent much of his career working at the firm Catalán y Solano Arquitectos, taking part in numerous projects that have contributed to the growth and transformation of Guadalajara.

His entrepreneurial spirit also led him to found Hercesa, alongside Eladio Catalán and Juanjo Cercadillo, giving rise to a company that continues to develop projects aimed at improving people’s lives.

An honour shared with the Hercesa family

During his acceptance speech, Javier Solano had a few words of appreciation for everyone who has been part of Hercesa over the years.

He emphasised that this award is also the result of the hard work, dedication and commitment of his colleagues, who have helped to make this professional and business journey possible.

Catalán and Solano Architects were also among the winners

Furthermore, the gala was also a cause for celebration for Catalán y Solano Arquitectos, who received an award for their project, the Industrialised Social Housing Estate in El Cañaveral, Madrid.

The award was accepted by our colleague Miguel Solano, highlighting the firm’s commitment to innovation, architectural quality and the pursuit of more efficient and sustainable residential solutions.
