Marta Roldán, Director General of Vocational Training for the Workplace of the JCCM, visits the Hercesa Foundation
Marta Roldán has officially inaugurated the start of the course "Social and health care for dependent people in social institutions. In its 22 years of existence, Fundación Hercesa has accumulated more than 39,000 hours of training given to almost 3,000 students.

Marta Muñoz, Director of the Hercesa Foundation, was in charge of welcoming the General Director of Vocational Training for the Labour Sector and also the rest of the authorities, Susana Blas, Provincial Delegate for Economy, Business and Employment, José Luis Escudero, Delegate of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha and Jesús Javier Espacios, Head of Training Service of Guadalajara, as well as Juan José Cercadillo, Javier Solano, Luis Guijarro and Mónica Cezón, members of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation and directors of Hercesa.
Marta Muñoz has worked at the Hercesa Foundation since its inception and has directed the institution since last January when Charo Hernández retired, after more than 20 fruitful years in the position. The visit of Marta Roldán, General Director of Vocational Training for the Workplace, has allowed the new director of Fundación Hercesa to present the training calendar in place for 2024 as well as to show the extraordinary historical data of the Foundation, with almost 39,000 hours of training in 145 courses given to a total of almost 3,000 students.
The course that has been officially inaugurated, “Socio-sanitary care for dependent people in social institutions”, began on January 22 and has 18 students present at the event, who at the end of their training will obtain a Professional Certificate that will allow them to care for dependent people in the socio-sanitary field, having learned the procedures to maintain and improve their personal autonomy, and their relationships with the environment.
Since 2016, the Hercesa Foundation has been offering this Professional Certificate, thanks to which, once the non-work professional internships have been completed, students achieve almost 100% job placement, due to the great prestige that their training has among the contracting health centres.
All those present at the visit toured the facilities and talked about the importance of training and the spirit of the host institution, which has been, since its inception, helping people with difficulties in accessing the labour market to have the opportunity to train and qualify and thus be able to find a job. Marta Roldán and José Luis Escudero emphasised the Regional Government’s commitment to training, allocating 40 million euros to it by 2024. During the relaxed talk, both Yadira Zango, a teacher at the Foundation, and Susana Blas, Provincial Delegate for Economy, Business and Employment, revealed that they had obtained their Professional Certificate at the Hercesa Foundation.
Marta Muñoz conveyed to the General Director her commitment to keeping the original spirit of the Hercesa Foundation alive, always adapting it to new times, since its mission is perfectly aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, which are crucial to achieving a more sustainable and fair world.
